2nd Annual Sherwood Golf Classic - October 4, 2008
The 2nd Annual Sherwood Golf Classic was a big success. Together our sponsors, players, raffle prize donors and volunteers raised $8,660!
The Sherwood Golf Classic was held at Sierra Meadows Country Club near Oakhurst, CA. Thanks to all of the Sierra Meadows staff who prepared the course and club house so nicely despite the early morning rain showers. After tee off the sun broke through the clouds and everyone enjoyed a great round of golf.
Proceeds support the improvement project at Calvin Crest's Sherwood Forest camp. Since 2007 Calvin Crest has added a variety of new facilities, improved lodging, added electricity and new recreation opportunities. Every year hundreds of 4th-6th graders enjoy a great week of summer camp in Sherwood Forest. Two weeks each summer Sherwood Forest is home to our Week in the Forest camp for developmentally disabled campers.
