| *SPACES ARE LIMITED – Submit your application early!** AIM DEFINED AIM (Assistance In Mission) is a two-week intensive camp designed for high school students and college freshman that have made a commitment to Jesus Christ and desire deeper discipleship. AIM is designed to take student leaders of youth groups and equip them with skills in leading small group bible studies and prayer groups, planning events and assisting youth pastor or directors of their church. Living for Christ means living in a way that is unknown to the world around us. During an AIM session you will be encouraged by a fresh approach to living the adventure God has prepared for you. AIM can challenge you to grow by giving you one of the most unique experiences of your life. If you are selected for AIM you will become an integral part of the ministry of Calvin Crest. You will be a servant leader serving alongside staff in day-to-day operations. You will participate in a variety of activities such as in-depth Bible studies, involvement in camping ministries, seminars and special events. Plus, you'll do all these things while you live in community with your AIM team. If you are ready to explore the radical mystery of the Christian life, build solid, lasting relationships with other Christians, put your faith into action through service & have a lot of fun then AIM is for you. ACCEPTANCE Four two-week sessions are offered; session size is limited to maintain the integrity of our program. Students going into tenth grade through college freshman in Fall 2008 are invited to apply. Completed applications will be considered for acceptance. Applications will be evaluated and accepted, as space is available. For additional applications, check our web site www.calvincrest.com or call (559) 683-4450. SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY Every AIMer must have a "Sponsor" who will help them process the AIM experience at home. Please have your pastor, youth director or an elder from your church agree to sponsor your AIM experience. An AIM "Sponsor" will have the opportunity to share in and continue to nurture the spiritual growth that can occur in an AIMer during an AIM session. Once the session is over this relationship can include meetings, spiritual direction & may become a mentor relationship. To assist in this process the Sponsor will receive information from the AIM staff concerning the AIMer's experience. With a Sponsor's participation the AIM experience can last beyond the AIM session & be more connected to your local church. The Applicant must set a meeting with the Sponsor to complete this section. The Sponsor and Applicant should work together on the following questions. The Sponsor may wish to discuss goals and opportunities the Applicant may have while on AIM. It is also appropriate to consider and discuss future service. How can AIM prepare the Applicant for leadership in your congregation? Those accepted for AIM must report no later than 10:00 a.m. Sunday on the first day of session. AIMers will be required to stay on Calvin Crest grounds during their session except for programmed trips. Pick up time for AIMers is 9:00 a.m. on the last Saturday of camp. For those traveling long distances (four or more hours) special arrangements can be requested for Saturday arrival. There will be an extra charge for lodging and meals.
